EIR Week 4: Second Life

I am having the EIR e-learning now, as I have been told to do Second Life exploration. Here are a few pictures of what I've been doing inside the Second Life like having fun on the swing.

And I got a diving suit for ffree and I change my avatar when going underwater.

More photos will be coming out soon...

To the lecturer, my computer could not access to Second Life because it requires a 32-bit display, and I only have 16 or 24-colour bit display when I received an error message. So whgat I do is to go back to the EIR lab room and finish up the Second Life shopping spree.

In the Second Life Shopping Spree, I only started discovering the places that I've never seen before. I am browsing through each and every shop that I'm looking, but I do not have much Lindent money to buy some accesories that relates to my topic (which is single parents for youths). Worst still, I do not have enough time looking everywhere in Second Life because I have insufficient time looking for the items that I want and still, no Lindent. Lindent requires paypal credits and I hate paying real money to buy Lindent virtually.

Secondly, I've maqnaged to find sufficient time to finsh as much as I can in school but not at home, and none of my friends, familiy and relatives uses Second Life as when I tell them, they have never heard about it, so it is a strugtgle to finish up the shopping and ends up incomplete. No screenies were captured because there is too much ladies property as I visited one of the island.

If I were to visit Second Life again, then I would think of buying some rare books, stationary and furniture when I have more Lindent.

To the lecturer, I apologised for not completing the e-Learing processes becuase of my own birthday celebration (16/11/10) and medical appointment on Friday afternoon. I hope you will give me more time complete the e-learning..

EIR Week 3

From what my lecturer says, I was impressed by the search of Google and Google Scholar. It gives me the accurate details of the search with the correct passage when clicking on the link. Beautiful and accurate passage and essays thats suits my choice.

Next, discussion forums on internet lives. I can see me and my class different views on internet lives. Yes, internet eats up a lot of times on games, chat and networking when we have no other time doing other things like homework, outing and activities like sport. However, the forums does not link to what the topic I am suppose to do, because the topic that I have chosen was the discussion on the cause and effects on youths having a single parent. It does not relate to the internet lives that we spent on the cause ad effects on youths for single parenting.

1st personal EIR Blog

Next, the lecturer has given us 22 topics to choose from the Olive, and I have chosen "Discuss the cause of having single parents for youths". The reason for choosing this topic is because I have a single parent which I am facing right now everyday since the year 2000, which is gonna be similar to the topic that I have chosen.

From the article that I have chosen, I have chosen the news article about autism youths with a single parent, which is almost similar to me as a young autism child who faces bullies in school, and wishes he was never in school at first. The article show that this teenager does not want to go to school as he might face bullies and he does not even want to talk a lot, and he is fear of school. So his father have to home-educate him on school rks and school stuff to teach him about computers, language, maths and more of school stuff the school has to teach. This story really moved my heart as a person who used to suffer from autism or depression.

And from the forums, we have discussed the various ways of having a single parent, that is divorcion, one parenbt who passed away and so on. Parents who divorced is because they were commiting adultrey into another opposite sex with children, so that leaeds to anger and jealousy on the other parent and makes the youths or a child to suffer for losing a parent. One parent who passe3d away has various ways, that is when a parent has cancer or stroke or so on. The reason why a parent who passed away is because they don't take care of their personal health, and they never exercise and continues to be workaholic. With that, the second parent and the children or youths will cry when they lost a parent.

Hi, I'm Chan Wai Chung. You also can call me Will cause I believe you can't pronounce my real name properly. My name "Will" can be either a nickname or a Christian name as what you may wish. I'm currently studying in Temasek Polytechnic and the course of Diploma I am taking are the 4 courses, ETCM, which stands for Electronics, Media and Communication Technology, Computer Engineering and Microelectronics. Out of this 4 courses I wish I can take is Computer Engineering for my Diploma as my first choice.

My favourite past time activities during school time that I used to play are basketball, soccer, badminton and table tennis, plus marathon running to keep fit for life. Out of all this sports games I like table tennis as my best.

My favourite singer involves solo, bands, DJs and producers including Natalie Horler (from Cascada), Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Jason Derulo, Iyaz, Taylor Swift, Muse, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Alex Megane (producer), HP (from Scooter) and many many more. My favourite programs in the TV shows are The Amazing Race and Glee. And my favourite movies are Cats and Dogs, Harry Potter and Home Alone.

Next, my favourite place to hangout are shopping malls and restaurants (McDonalds, KFC, Sakae Sushi and other food alternatives) and yet this are the places where I hangout I can always chill in the place.

I don't surf a lot of websites like other people does it's because I did not discover it. And now I'm not gonna reveal what's my favourite internet page that I go to is because a lot of people quits going to that webpage. And the webpage is meant for children to access it but however children can't access the chatting room because only adults and teenagers can access to the chatting boards so that they can chat for events, items, prizes, stocks and many more. (Give you a clue, this webpage can own a virtual pet and a lot of children are playing this website.) Plus this webpage doesn't allow vulgarities or else the account will be frozen if rules doesn't follow.

My favourite hobbies are playing social network games is because while you are playing, you also can chat with your virtual friends to help you win the game or choose the correct items and so on. I'm good in Maths and chatting even though chatting skills is inaccurate English for me. As for Maths you need to practice so that you can understand better what's the topic about.
